Meet Dr. Jack

Hi, I'm Dr. Jack and I've been a veterinarian for over 30 years. My passion for as long as I can remember has been animals and I've been lucky enough to have been able to serve animals over a long career. I've obviously learnt a thing or two over this time and I love to share all the knowledge I have with the public. One way I've been doing this is through my weekly pets segment on 3AW National Radio Australia. Now, I have set up this website as another way to share my knowledge about pets and animals.

To this end, this website aims to entertain and educate, to impart knowledge which is believable, easy to understand, and practical to implement to animal owners.

Famous and infamous people will be interviewed about their pets.

We will look back in history and have presenters talk about famous animals including Rin Tin Tin, Phar Lap, Lassie and many others, as well as less famous animals  ……  and animals that have rescued or befriended people  -  for instance the American Civil War soldier who was befriended by wolves  -  Romulus and Remus, Alexander the Great’s horse, Hannibal’s elephants, Moby Dick, Jonah and the Whale and a whole menagerie of the history of wild and tame animals.
