My cat has diarrhea, what should I do? |
|
||||
There are many causes of diarrhea. If your pet has a bowel infection then the treatment is with antibiotics. These are available from your veterinarian. However, many causes are associated with a dietary upset or change, If your cat does have diarrhea then the first treatment is to with hold food for twenty four hours. Water should always be available. After twenty four hours, start feeding small meals of lightly boiled minced chicken or beef and a little boiled rice. If symptoms still persist then the pet should be taken to a veterinarian.
