Should I exercise my cat? He's a bit fat! |
|
||||
Sadly, one of the tragedies of modern living is human and pet obesity that is fat people and fat pets! As a guide, if you run your hands along the chest of your pet and can’t feel the ribs then the cat is overweight. This can contribute towards arthritis, diabetes and many other illnesses. Cats should be encouraged to exercise. This can be done for example by providing special toys, walking your cat on a lead or supplying a pet run. If your cat is fed a sensible diet and exercises regularly then is should lead a healthy long life
