My 12 yr old Golden Retriever has arthritis and is over-weight - what should I do?

Arthritis in older dogs and cats is a very common problem, particularly if your pet is overweight. Being overweight is a problem for any animal. Many vet practices have very good weight loss programmes which will help. It is important to keep the muscle strength up so that your old boy can exercise so swimming in one of the canine swimming pools will help.

There are many medications can take for arthritis and you should ask your vet for these. A very good alternative to medication is my 100% Natural Special Formula, as it contains a high content of glucosamine which helps with pain as well as a mix of chondroiton sulphate, shark cartilage, sea cucumber and green-lipped mussel which may also help treat arthritis. Time and again we have seen amazing results with older pets using our Special Formula. To read more and purchase click here.

It is important to exercise each day no matter how little so that the muscles and heart are kept going.

Cheers,

Jack
