Can dogs eat cat-food and vice versa?

There has been an extraordinary amount of research by a large number of organizations into pet nutrition. Consequently the food designed for dogs is more suited to dogs than cats and the food     designed for cats is more suited for cats than dogs.

There are some significant differences owing to the different metabolisms. Cats   are carnivores (meat eaters) while dogs are omnivores (meat and grain eaters).

However cats and dogs will not be seriously affected if they are fed the wrong food.
